We want this site to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or device.
What we aim for
WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the W3C standard covering keyboard access, sufficient contrast, alt text, predictable behaviour, and assistive-technology compatibility.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML throughout, with a proper heading hierarchy and ARIA landmarks.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- AA-level colour contrast across text and UI.
- Alt text on meaningful images;
aria-hiddenon decoration. - Animations honour
prefers-reduced-motion. - Visually-hidden tables alongside charts so screen-reader users get the same data.
Known limitations
- Optimised for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Older browsers may degrade.
- Some colour-coded UI (e.g. BUY vs RENT in the rent-vs-buy calculator) is also labelled in text, but pattern-based differentiation could help further.

Compatibility
Works with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), and TalkBack (Android). Tested up to 200% browser zoom and full keyboard-only navigation.
Ongoing improvement
We audit the site periodically against WCAG 2.1 AA using automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual testing. Updates to this statement reflect material changes.
